For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

Here's the Yellow Version
So, I have started another blog to follow and practice what my students are doing in Creative Writing this semester. Perhaps by the end of this semester I will land on one or find the need to keep both going. Tumblr is wild and exciting, and you never know what will pop up next in that world! Here on Blogspot through Google+ the blog is connected to all of my other work things--so there are advantages and disadvantages to each.
I was profoundly annoyed at Tumblr yesterday when it inexplicably deleted a long post that I had just written before I could post it! Now, it seems to be lost forever. I could rewrite it, but the mood has left and hasn't returned yet. I'll just say that it was an explanation of the strutting turkey who appears on my avatar on Tumblr right now. It went into my long and fond relation with turkeys in particular and poultry in general. Anyone who knows me well, knows of my affinity for birds (I have an ancient cockatiel who is in there singing his morning song right now and has outlived two birdy wives), but not everyone knows about my close companionship with farmyard birds, particularly turkeys who, BTW like to be sung to on porch swings and to run to the school bus every day to meet their favorite human friends.
From this first Yellow version of the Blueroom Muse post you have learned a few things about me. This blog might just reveal a few more oddities of the inside of my mind along the way.
Happy Saturday!
